The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering is a thesis-based, research-intensive program offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering. Students complete an intensive research project under faculty supervision in areas including intelligent systems, photonics, power engineering, software engineering, systems and control, telecommunications and signal processing, integrated circuits, bioelectrical engineering, computational electromagnetics, nano-electronic devices and materials, and artificial intelligence, developing skills in research design, information synthesis, and scientific communication. The program serves as preparation for doctoral study or for a career as an industrial researcher, supported by research and experimental laboratories equipped for multidisciplinary work. Admission requires an eligible bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 and English-language proficiency. The program is offered with Fall and Winter intakes.
