Program details
Overview
The Bachelor of Social Work (Post-Diploma) is a four-year undergraduate degree for students building on a prior diploma, preparing them to support individuals, families and communities through ethical, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive social work practice. Students choose between two concentrations: Generalist Social Work or Child Intervention, each shaping the elective and practicum focus of the later years of the program. The program combines classroom-based learning with practicum placements and simulation labs that provide supervised, hands-on practice experience, with opportunities for study-abroad or field-school programs. Graduates are prepared for professional registration and practice as social workers, working in areas such as child and family services, healthcare, community and mental health organizations, and social policy. The degree leads to a Bachelor of Social Work credential.
