The Bachelor of Social Work prepares students to help individuals, couples, families, groups, and communities build the skills and resources needed to support or restore social functioning. Grounded in social-change theories and approaches, social work addresses the intersection between people and their environment, promotes human rights, and applies principles of social justice. The curriculum includes mandatory courses in individual and family intervention, group work, and community organization, along with research methodology and professional ethics. Two supervised practicums with accompanying seminars provide hands-on professional experience. The three-year, full-time B.Trav.Soc. program admits new students in the fall term and is offered mainly on campus, with some courses at a distance.
