Cert in Medical Office Assistant

Medical Office Assistant is a 12-week certificate at NorQuest College that prepares students for administrative roles in medical offices and clinics. The single-term program develops skills in clinical basics, health information management, professional communication, general office duties, and medical office software. It is offered in blended and online formats, with flexible in-person and online scheduling options. Students complete 22 credits across six required courses and 150 hours of work experience through a practicum. The program requires students to bring their own device for coursework and uses freely available learning materials as a Zero Textbook Cost program. It is not open to international students. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles such as medical office assistant or medical administrative assistant, supporting clinical and administrative operations in physician offices, clinics, and other healthcare settings.
