Overview
This diploma program at NorQuest College prepares students for multi-skilled roles supporting occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy, and therapeutic recreation. Delivered in person over six core terms across two years, the program combines classroom instruction with mandatory labs and five practicums, each with a minimum of 150 hours, across the four therapy disciplines. Full-time study is required each term. The program is based at the Edmonton campus. Graduates are prepared for rehabilitation-support roles working across physical therapy, occupational therapy, and related therapeutic disciplines. The programme is not currently open to international students.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires English Language Arts 30-1 at 60% or 30-2 at 70% (or the equivalent ESLG 1860/1898), Mathematics 10C at 50% or equivalent, and Biology 30 at 60% or equivalent; a free academic assessment is available for applicants who have submitted an application. Non-native English speakers must submit proof: IELTS Academic 6.5 with no section below 6, TOEFL iBT 84 with no section below 21, CAEL 70, or Duolingo 115. A 2.0 term and cumulative GPA is required to remain in good standing and to graduate, with honours awarded for an overall GPA of 3.7 or higher. The programme is not currently open to international students.
