The 60-credit degree requires 6 credits of first-year English, at least 9 credits of science/math/statistics (including a laboratory science), 36 credits of arts (at least 18 at second-year level across two or more subjects, including 6 credits each of social sciences and humanities), and 9 elective credits. Graduation requires a cumulative GPA of 2.00, completion within 5 years, at least 50% of credits taken at North Island College, and courses that transfer to UBC, UVic, SFU, or UNBC; optional Psychology or Pre-Social Work concentrations carry their own required courses.

International applicants apply through EducationPlannerBC; for the current cycle NIC has published deadlines of 1 May 2026 for September 2026 entry and 31 August 2026 for January 2027 entry, with no later 2027 intake deadline yet posted.
