Overview
The Construction Engineering Technician program is a two-year Ontario College Diploma combining architectural, civil, structural, and mechanical knowledge for careers in the construction sector. Students learn computer-aided drafting, surveying, construction methods and materials, building codes, cost estimating, and engineering materials testing. The program is delivered at the Timmins campus over four semesters. Graduates are prepared for roles in construction management, contracting, cost estimating, and consulting with builders, engineering firms, and municipal or government employers. Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with Grade 12 English and Grade 12 Math at the C or U level (MCT4C preferred; MAP4C accepted with a minimum grade of 60%), with Grade 12 Physics recommended.
