Business Administration Certificate

This one-year, 30-week certificate develops foundational business knowledge across accounting, economics, marketing, and management. Core courses cover introductory accounting, business math, microeconomics and macroeconomics, computer applications, business communications, business law, organizational behavior, principles of management, and marketing, with an optional employment practicum. Instruction is delivered through a supported distance learning model using Bongo and D2L Brightspace, combining scheduled classes or tutorials with self-directed study, so students can complete coursework from home, work, or on campus. The program runs across fall and winter terms from September to June, with an optional spring practicum term. Graduates gain entry-level skills in accounting, communications, and organizational operations applicable to a range of business roles, and coursework can ladder into further business studies at Northern Lakes College.
