Overview

This Postgraduate Certificate at Nova Scotia Community College prepares graduates for leadership careers in the nonprofit sector. Delivered fully online, the program can be completed in one year full-time or two years part-time. Coursework covers strategic leadership, financial management, marketing, human resources, governance, and fundraising, culminating in a capstone project, and students also complete a portfolio as part of their studies. The flexible online format allows students to study around existing work and personal commitments. Graduates receive a Postgraduate Certificate; this credential is not eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. Admission requires a two-year diploma, undergraduate degree, or equivalent; applicants with a high school diploma and at least five years of work experience in any industry may be considered under NSCC's Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition policy.
