Fine Art - Printmaking is one of four studio specializations within NSCAD University's Bachelor of Fine Arts program, delivered on-campus at the Fountain Campus over four years. Students combine an interdisciplinary studio foundation with classic and experimental printmaking processes, including lithography, screenprinting, relief, intaglio, letterpress, monotype, and book arts. The curriculum builds practical skills and concepts across drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking, encouraging students to experiment and develop hybrid ways of working across media. NSCAD has a long history in the discipline, including hosting an influential Lithography Workshop in 1969, and students have extensive access to printmaking facilities and equipment. Graduates leave with technical grounding in traditional and experimental print processes suited to careers or further study in fine art, book arts, and related creative fields.
