Admission Requirements: Okanagan College's Animation Diploma requires B.C. secondary-school graduation or the equivalent, or entry as a mature applicant at 19 years of age and out of secondary school for one year, plus English 12 at a minimum of 60 per cent or an approved alternative. No IELTS, TOEFL or other standardised language-test score is published. Beyond the academic floor, admission is portfolio-based: applicants submit a one-page letter of intent describing their interest in and experience with animation, together with 15 to 20 pieces of their own artwork meeting the specific criteria set out on the program's separate portfolio-requirements page (okanagan.bc.ca/arts/animation/animation-portfolio-requirements). An interview is required, and applicants may also be asked to complete a drawing exercise as part of the assessment.
