You may be employed by a very broad range of industrial organizations.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Academic base: B.C. secondary-school graduation or the equivalent.
English 12 at 60 per cent, or an accepted alternative.
Mathematics: at least 60 per cent in one of Pre-Calculus 12, Principles of Mathematics 12, ABE MATH 012 or Okanagan College MATH 120, or at least 70 per cent on the Okanagan College Mathematics 12 proficiency test.
Science: Physics 11 is required, with Physics 12 recommended; Chemistry 11 or 12 is strongly recommended.
Mature applicants: at least 19 years old and away from full-time secondary school for a year or more, meeting the same course requirements. A mature applicant without the required 60 per cent in Mathematics 12 may sit a Mathematics 12 challenge exam, and any exemption rests on a department interview together with work experience, educational background and the challenge exam result.
International applicants who cannot present English 12 satisfy the same English line through the College's test table at the 60 per cent level: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band under 6.0, TOEFL 79 internet-based, CAEL 60, PTE Academic 56 with no communicative skill under 55, or Duolingo 105; results must be under two years old.
The program relies on computers for engineering problem-solving, so the College strongly recommends arriving with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, or an introductory computing course.
