Overview
This Information Technology User Support Micro-credential provides knowledge and skills necessary to service computers and support users of infrastructure and computing technology systems. This training covers a variety of topics including hardware installation and configuration, basic networking, operating systems and help desk techniques. Students study theory of computers systems hardware and software components and develop the practical skills through hands-on training and troubleshooting techniques that address wide ranging issues. Using Network Engineering as a core foundation, students will gain competencies that prepare them for industry recognized credentials to enhance their employability in the industry.

Admission Requirements: Admission to Okanagan College's Information Technology User Support Micro-credential follows the college's general entry standard: applicants must hold B.C. secondary-school graduation or the equivalent, or qualify as a mature applicant who is at least 19 years old and has been out of secondary school for at least one year by the start of classes. The English requirement is met by English 12 with a minimum grade of 60 percent, or one of the college's published equivalents, rather than by a standardized test score; the program page does not list an IELTS, TOEFL or other English-test alternative of its own. No minimum grade point average, portfolio, interview or additional supporting document is specified. The micro-credential runs as a single cohort beginning February 2027 and ending in June 2027.
