Coursework spans agronomic planning, water quality assessment, golf course design integrity, environmental professional certification, and operational management. Delivery is hybrid, with the fall intake beginning online in November and on-campus learning starting in January at the Olds, Alberta campus; classes run synchronously, and the work-term period is delivered entirely online. In the fourth year, students complete an eight-month Directed Field Study that provides hands-on experience in a mentored workplace. The program suits students who already hold a related diploma and are aiming for senior turf and golf operations roles, preparing graduates for positions such as golf course superintendent or foreperson in municipal parks and recreation operations, along with related opportunities in golf course design and construction and eligibility for Federal Pesticide Assistant Certification and Alberta Golf Superintendents Association membership.
