Overview
Artificial Intelligence for Professional Communicators is a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) specialization within Ontario Tech University's Communication and Digital Media Studies program, jointly offered by the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities and the School of Artificial Intelligence. Delivered on campus on a full-time basis, with September and January starts, the specialization runs four years, or five years with the direct-entry co-op option. Students learn to use artificial intelligence and large language models to develop content across video, graphics and writing, building skills in digital storytelling, media production and emerging technologies alongside the critical thinking needed to understand audiences, platforms and impact. The curriculum places emphasis on the ethical and social dimensions of AI, preparing students to communicate responsibly in a changing digital landscape. Graduates are prepared for careers in public relations, business, media, policy and entrepreneurship. The co-op option provides full-time paid work terms throughout the degree.

Admission Requirements: Current Ontario secondary school students must complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six 4U or 4M courses, including English (ENG4U).
