Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) specialization within Ontario Tech University's Arts - General program, offered by the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities. Delivered on campus on a full-time basis, with September and January starts, the specialization runs four years, or five years with the direct-entry co-op option. Building on the broad interdisciplinary foundation of the Arts - General program, students develop practical skills in social innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, project development and strategic problem-solving, learning to identify opportunities, design human-centred solutions and turn ideas into initiatives that address social, economic and environmental challenges. Through experiential learning, collaborative projects and community engagement, students apply their learning to real-world problems while building professional connections. Graduates are prepared for careers in the public, private and non-profit sectors, or to launch their own purpose-driven ventures. The co-op option provides full-time paid work terms throughout the degree.
