The UNENE Master of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering at Ontario Tech University is designed for working nuclear-industry professionals, building enhanced technical, business and management knowledge alongside their careers. Students complete 10 courses, or eight courses plus an industrial project, delivered on alternate weekends over seven-week periods, using distance education tools for students working outside the Greater Toronto Area; the program is part-time, and students have up to five years to complete it. Entry is available in the September, January or May terms. Applicants require an honours or four-year degree in engineering, science or mathematics with a B average or better; relevant work or research history is also considered, though meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Part-time students are not eligible for internal funding opportunities such as research or teaching assistantships.
