Overview
Industrial Arts Education - Integrated is a joint Bachelor of Education program offered by Red River College Polytechnic and the University of Winnipeg, developing the practical teaching and technical skills required to teach industrial arts and technology education. Coursework spans construction, woodworking and CNC machining, graphic arts, communication, photography and video production, manufacturing and welding, power and energy systems and electronics, and STEAM-related areas such as robotics and 3D printing. Unlike the after-degree route, the integrated program is a five-year undergraduate pathway leading directly to a Bachelor of Education degree. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires meeting the entry requirements for, and being admitted to, the joint Red River College Polytechnic and University of Winnipeg Industrial Arts Education program in the Faculty of Education. Transfer applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 in prior university or college coursework. Applicants 21 or older by December 31 of their admission year may apply as mature students, with applications reviewed individually. The annual application deadline is March 1, with late applications accepted until June 1. Students must submit a Criminal Record Check, Provincial Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check before completing the program.
