Electronic Engineering Technology is a 28-month diploma, including a first year shared with Electrical Engineering Technology, that prepares students to test, repair, and design electronic equipment. Coursework covers amplifiers, radio systems, programmable logic, control systems, biomedical applications, microprocessor control, high-frequency circuits, and computer networking fundamentals, with a capstone project in which students design, build, and troubleshoot their own electronic device. Co-op work experience is optional in the first year, and in the second year students choose between a co-op placement or an Engineering Technology Report. The program is nationally accredited, internationally recognized, and recognized by the Canadian Forces, and Red River College Polytechnic offers credit-transfer opportunities with Lakehead University, the University of Manitoba, and the University of Victoria. Admission to the program's second and third years requires successful completion of the first year of the Electrical Engineering Technology program. It is delivered full-time and on campus at the Exchange District Campus in Winnipeg.
