Truck Transport Technology is a two-year diploma open only to international students; domestic applicants are directed to the related Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Certificate program. Training alternates between classroom instruction, live shop work, and practical work experience, developing the skills needed to diagnose and repair modern truck transport vehicles. Coursework covers electrical diagnosis, electronics, ignition systems, engines, drivetrains, steering and suspension, brakes, and fuel systems. In the second year, students complete dynamometer projects involving emissions analysis and vehicle testing. Delivered full-time at the Notre Dame Campus in Winnipeg with a May intake, the program leads to Level 2 apprenticeship accreditation upon graduation. Graduates are prepared for technician roles in the truck and heavy transport repair industry.
