Digital Film and Media Production is a one-year post-graduate diploma that gives graduates of creative communications, media production, or film studies programs, as well as industry professionals, the practical and theoretical skills to work as a producer, videographer, editor, or freelancer in the film and media industry. The program bridges students from post-secondary study into Manitoba's local film production industry, combining hands-on production training with practical business and administrative skills for freelance and contract work. Students build a professional-level demo reel and production portfolio while working on real production projects. The program runs on a September start in Winnipeg. It accepts both graduates of related post-secondary programs and applicants without a related credential who can demonstrate relevant skill through a demonstration reel, making it a route into the film and media industry for career changers as well as recent graduates.
