Program details
Overview
Mission and Ministry is a Bachelor of Arts degree program at Redeemer University, offered as an honours major through Urban Ministry, Youth Ministry, or a general ministry emphasis, as well as a major and a minor. The program provides a biblical understanding of missions alongside a worldview perspective on culture and society, preparing students to serve in ministry and mission-related contexts. First-year courses give a broad overview of topics central to mission, ministry, and Christian faith, including a foundational understanding of the Bible, before students move into more specialized coursework within their chosen emphasis. Gospel, Church, and Culture is the required fourth-year capstone course in the Religion and Theology department, and students may complete two eight-month paid ministry placements or two internships, supervised jointly by a placement site and a department supervisor, as part of the program.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Ontario applicants must complete Grade 12 U English and five additional Grade 12 U or M level courses, with a minimum grade average of 70% for the general major or 80% for the honours major. O-level and Co-op courses are not accepted toward the average.
