BA/BS in Chemical Engineering

The Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering at Royal Military College of Canada is a four-year, 47.5-credit undergraduate programme. The curriculum combines materials engineering with nuclear and environmental engineering topics, including corrosion, fuel cells, batteries, alloys, polymers, ceramics, and composite development, alongside explosives and combustion processes, nuclear energy applications, and environmental stewardship. Students enter the programme after completing the First Year Engineering or Science programme with a minimum 'D+' combined average in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, subject to departmental approval. The programme is delivered on-campus at RMC's Kingston, Ontario campus, combining laboratory-based engineering coursework with the college's mandatory military and bilingual training components. It is offered primarily to officer cadets enrolled through the Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP) or the University Training Plan for Non-Commissioned Members (UTPNCM). Graduates receive a Bachelor of Engineering degree accredited for professional engineering licensure in Canada.
