Non-Destructive Testing Foundations is a 15-week certificate program from SAIT's School of Manufacturing & Automation, delivered in person at Main Campus. Students complete 16.5 credits across nine courses covering materials science and the core non-destructive testing methods used to inspect materials and structures without causing damage: ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, and eddy current testing. The program builds the technical foundation needed to perform inspections that support the safety and maintenance of industrial equipment and infrastructure across sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, and construction. Students have up to five academic years to complete all certificate requirements. The program accepts international applicants but is not eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit, and is classified under CIP code 15.0799.
