SAIT's Architectural Technologies diploma is a two-year, full-time, project-based program that prepares students to work as architectural technologists, BIM coordinators, or project managers within architectural firms, residential builders, and the broader construction industry. Students learn the science and practice of architectural technology through lectures, labs, and collaborative projects, how to apply building codes, bylaws, and regulations, building science and building systems, and 3D and 4D Building Information Modeling (BIM) for various project stages. The curriculum also covers project management, including costing, scheduling, proposal development, and documentation. Graduates build a portfolio of work demonstrating their competencies to potential employers and are prepared to pursue further education or advancement within the architectural technology field. The program requires a Windows-based computer, as Mac laptops are not supported. Classes are delivered in person at SAIT's Main Campus.
