Court Services Assistant is a 16-week Applied Certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic delivered synchronously online through Zoom, with classes held Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., combined with a two-week in-person work experience placement that lets students shadow a professional in the court services sector. The curriculum covers court office systems, criminal justice, law, communication skills for legal settings, and record-keeping practices. Intakes run twice a year, from September to December and from January to May. Admission requires Grade 12 completion and an English language proficiency requirement, and applicants must complete a Criminal Record Check before beginning the work experience component. Graduates are prepared for administrative and support roles in provincial court, the Court of King's Bench, and prosecutors' offices, as well as at law firms and court reporting agencies.
