The Esthetician-Skin Care Technician program is a 32-week certificate delivered on campus at Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Prince Albert campus, with a part-time option also available. Training takes place at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Salon & Spa and covers preventative skin care and treatments, including facials, makeup application, waxing, eyelash services, manicures, pedicures, and spa treatments. The program carries the new title effective Fall 2025, having previously been offered as Applied Esthetics. Admission requires Grade 10 and meeting Saskatchewan Polytechnic's English language proficiency requirement; applicants who do not hold the standard academic credential may qualify through an alternate admission assessment, and prior learning assessment and recognition (PLAR) is accepted. Graduates receive credit toward journeyperson status within Saskatchewan's apprenticeship system for the trade, and typical career outcomes include work as an esthetician, makeup artist, spa manager, or esthetics instructor at a college.
