Diploma in Cytotechnology

Cytotechnology is an 86-week diploma at Saskatchewan Polytechnic that trains students in the microscopic study of cells for disease. The program combines traditional lectures, practical labs, and clinical practicums, with Year 1 delivered at the Saskatoon campus over 41 weeks and Year 2 completed through a 45-week clinical practicum in Regina. The program begins each September. Graduates work as cytotechnologists examining cell samples to detect disease. Admission requires Grade 12 with a 30-level English Language Arts, Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30, Physical Science 20, Chemistry 30, and Biology 30, with a minimum of 70% in Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30 and in each science course, along with Saskatchewan Polytechnic's English Language Requirement. The program is not currently open to international applicants.
