Overview
In this two-year diploma program, you will benefit from practical training and learn the essential principles and techniques used in the biochemical sciences. You will gain hands-on experience needed to perform experiments and determinations with the precision required in a broad range of industries. That means getting hands-on training in the proper care and use of laboratory apparatus for wet and instrumental methods.

Admission Requirements: Domestic admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or entry as a mature applicant (19 by the first day of classes), in which case the OSSD is waived but the programme's own subject prerequisites still apply. The stated subject requirements are English at the Grade 12 C or U level, or an equivalent course, and Mathematics at Grade 12 C or U, or Grade 11 Functions (MCR3U), or an equivalent course. Science prerequisites are also required: Biology at Grade 11 C or U, or an equivalent course, and Chemistry at Grade 11 U, or Grade 12 C or U, or an equivalent course. Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are short of the English and/or Mathematics prerequisite can instead qualify by passing Seneca's pre-admission test, and the college lists upgrading options for applicants who do not meet the subject requirements.
