Overview
Regulatory Affairs is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate completed in one year across three semesters and delivered fully online, with faculty and students required to participate in real time according to a fixed schedule. Students learn to develop regulatory strategies for the approval of health products and to inspect and audit food and agricultural products, drugs, veterinary products, surgical equipment and medical devices, working through case studies and research activities in virtual reality labs. The final semester includes a 360-hour paid co-op placement. Admission requires a postsecondary bachelor's degree, advanced diploma or diploma majoring in science, health science or a related field, with a minimum overall GPA of 65%; preference is given to applicants holding a baccalaureate in a science or health science field, and other professional degrees such as an MA, PhD or MD in a related field are also considered. Admission is competitive and based on academic achievement.
