Overview
This postgraduate certificate allows practicing medical imaging technologists to build on existing clinical skills to practice magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in Canada. The program combines theoretical coursework with clinical experience over 45 weeks, structured as two 15-week academic semesters followed by a 15-week clinical practicum, and prepares graduates for national certification exams administered by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Classes and labs are scheduled three days per week, allowing students to maintain employment while studying. Delivery is fully online. Admission requires a Medical Radiation Technology Ontario College Advanced Diploma or a bachelor's degree, along with current CAMRT certification in general radiography, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, or general sonography. The program is currently open to domestic applicants only. The program code is MRI2.
