PGCert in Urban Design

Urban Design is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate completed in one year, teaching students to design urban environments that connect and integrate the built environment sustainably and inclusively; Sheridan is one of the few Canadian colleges to offer this training, which is traditionally taught at the master's level. The program is offered in a hybrid format based at the Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga, or as a fully online synchronous option, with both full-time and part-time study available. Students propose real-world solutions during a field placement with an urban design firm. Admission requires a postsecondary diploma, advanced diploma or degree, or equivalent, in studies related to the built environment, with a minimum overall GPA of 65%, or demonstrated competence through a combination of academic achievement and evaluation of a letter of intent; eligible applicants are selected based on academic achievement in the built environment field.
