Overview
Business, Philosophy and the Law is a joint major offered collaboratively by the Department of Philosophy in SFU's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Beedie School of Business, examining how business theory and practice intersect with the law. The programme is intended for students preparing for law school, graduate study, or a career in business or a policy-related field. Students complete a total of 120 units, of which at least 60 must be completed at SFU, including at least 45 upper-division units (at least 30 at SFU) and at least 25 upper-division PHIL units. Depending on the faculty from which they enter, students graduate with either a Bachelor of Arts from Arts and Social Sciences or a Bachelor of Business Administration from Beedie. Students admitted through the Business side must maintain a minimum 2.30 overall SFU Business course grade point average for entry into 300- and 400-division business courses.
