BA/BS in Management Information Systems

Management Information Systems (MIS) is a concentration within the Beedie School of Business's Bachelor of Business Administration, applying an understanding of business processes and strategy to creating value from digital technologies. Coursework focuses on how digital technologies can make organizations more agile, effective, and efficient, disrupt traditional industries, and create positive societal change. Students learn to manage project teams and to design and build information systems that support business processes and enable data-driven decision-making. MIS is one of nine concentrations students may choose after admission to the BBA program. Graduates are prepared for roles spanning systems analysis, business technology consulting, project management, and digital transformation within organizations of all sizes, applying both technical and business skills to solve organizational problems.
