The Cultural Resource Management Certificate is about the identification, evaluation, and conservation of cultural resources such as heritage sites, objects, landscapes, and traditions. Requirements
Admission Requirements: The Cultural Resource Management certificate page sets no separate admission test, minimum entering average, or GPA threshold of its own; it states only that students are responsible for meeting the individual prerequisite requirements of the courses counted toward the certificate, such as ARCH 101 or ARCH 201 required ahead of certain upper-division options. As with SFU's other declared certificates, eligibility depends on the student already being admitted to the university rather than on a distinct certificate-level gate. Canadian secondary-school applicants must otherwise meet SFU's general undergraduate requirements: at least five approved Grade 12 courses including English Studies 12 or equivalent, with a minimum of 70% in Language Arts 11, English 12, or equivalent. English-language proficiency follows SFU's general scale, e.g. IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, or Duolingo 125 overall.

Fall 2027 entry: high-school-route applications open 1 October 2026 and close 31 January 2027, while transfer applications open 1 March 2027 and close 15 April 2027 (Education and Contemporary Arts transfer applicants may apply from 1 October 2026). Spring 2027 entry runs 1 July to 15 September 2026, and Summer 2027 entry runs 1 December 2026 to 15 January 2027.
