Forensic Studies Certificate

Admission Requirements: Entry to the forensic studies certificate first requires admission to Simon Fraser University under its standard undergraduate requirements (Canadian high-school applicants: at least five approved Grade 12 courses including English Studies 12 or equivalent at 70% or better in Language Arts 11/English 12, via EducationPlannerBC; international applicants: a senior-year transcript with first-semester grades). On top of that, students must have completed CRIM 355 (The Forensic Sciences) with a final grade of C- or better before applying to the School of Criminology's certificate. Once admitted, the programme requires students to maintain a minimum 2.25 cumulative GPA, 2.25 upper-division GPA, and matching 2.25 thresholds calculated on criminology courses alone, with a minimum C- in every required course, to remain in and graduate from the certificate. No IELTS, TOEFL, portfolio or interview requirement is published.
