This 12-unit certificate builds entrepreneurial skills through two required courses -- BUS 714 Innovation and Entrepreneurship and BUS 578 New Venture Creation: From Concept to Scale -- paired with 6 further elective units chosen from BUS 575 Product Management, BUS 576 Responsible Innovation, BUS 577 Platform Power: Business in the Digital Age, BUS 588 Strategic Consulting and Advising, BUS 590 Innovation and Change Management, or BUS 721 Special Topics in Business Administration. Beedie School of Business students are expected to finish within three terms, under SFU's standard graduate admission requirements. The elective slate lets students tilt the certificate toward product strategy, consulting, or organizational change depending on which pairing they choose, while the two required courses anchor every student in the fundamentals of launching and scaling a new venture.

Fall 2027 entry: high-school-route applications open 1 October 2026 and close 31 January 2027, while transfer applications open 1 March 2027 and close 15 April 2027 (Education and Contemporary Arts transfer applicants may apply from 1 October 2026).
