Admission Requirements: Applicants to SFU's PLP French Module must already be admissible to SFU at the undergraduate level and meet SFU's English-language and quantitative/analytical skills requirements, plus have at least two years' paraprofessional experience in a BC K-12 classroom while working a minimum of three days a week (60%) at application. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, calculated on roughly the last 60 undergraduate units, is required. Elementary-stream applicants need two English or French courses (6 units, including 3 in literature/composition), one Canadian history course, one Canadian geography course, one lab-science course, and SFU's MATH 190 or its equivalent; secondary-stream applicants need the same literature/composition courses plus a completed 120-unit bachelor's degree with one or two teachable subjects. All candidates must submit proof of French proficiency — a Francophone post-secondary transcript (minimum one year) or a DELF-DALF/TCF/TEF/TFI result, with elementary Core French needing DELF B1 and Francophone or Immersion secondary streams needing DALF C1 — plus a Vulnerable Sector criminal-record check once accepted.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through EducationPlannerBC, with one set of dates per applicant type rather than by citizenship. Fall 2027 entry: high-school-route applications open 1 October 2026 and close 31 January 2027, while transfer applications open 1 March 2027 and close 15 April 2027 (Education and Contemporary Arts transfer applicants may apply from 1 October 2026). Spring 2027 entry runs 1 July to 15 September 2026, and Summer 2027 entry runs 1 December 2026 to 15 January 2027. Admission documents are generally due 28 February 2027 (Fall) and offers must be accepted by 1 May. International applicants use the same EducationPlannerBC dates and portal; SFU publishes no separate international deadline. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
