Program Overview Electrical Techniques is designed to provide the learner with an understanding of the basic theoretical and practical aspects of the electrical trade and to familiarize them with the associated tools and materials. This is a great starting place for students who might want to pursue an Electrician apprenticeship, such as: Electrician Construction and Maintenance Apprentice (309A) Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship (442A) Program Highlights Upon successful completion of the program, a graduate may be granted credit by Skilled Trades Ontario for 309A and 442A level 1 in school Electrical Apprenticeship Training with approval from the employer. Career Opportunities Graduates are excellent candidates for job opportunities as Electrical Apprentices or entry-level positions in Electrical wholesale and/or distribution.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of courses at the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level plus Grade 11 Mathematics at the College (C) or University (U) level, as stated on the programme's own admission-requirements page. Mature applicants are directed to the College's general Admission Procedures. No portfolio, interview, work-experience, age, or criminal-record-check conditions are stated for this programme. No separate language-proficiency scores are published, so international and non-native-English applicants are held to St. Clair College's institution-wide English requirement for certificate programmes: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 60, PTE Academic 52, CAEL 60, CELPIP General 7.0 in each module, or Duolingo 110, scores no older than two years.
