Overview
This Master in Management is a course-based graduate degree with two specializations: Technology, Innovation and Operations Management, and Data Analytics. It combines interactive asynchronous online courses with face-to-face sessions, and both specializations require two two-week intensive in-person bootcamps at the start and end of the program; the Technology, Innovation and Operations Management stream is delivered mainly online with an option for two in-person courses, while the Data Analytics stream is weighted toward in-person delivery with four in-person and two online courses. There is one intake per year, in August, with full-time completion in 17 months or part-time completion in up to 25 months and a five-year maximum. No thesis or capstone project is part of the structure. The program is designed for career-driven applicants who already hold an undergraduate degree, generally in business or a related field, plus a minimum of two years of leadership or relevant professional experience, and welcomes applicants from a variety of academic disciplines rather than requiring a business-specific background.

Admission Requirements: The general admission requirement is a four-year degree in business or a related field, with a minimum acceptable Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of a possible 4.5 (equivalent to a 'B' letter grade); the Faculty of Graduate Studies assesses degrees earned outside Canada for equivalency. Applicants must also demonstrate at least two years of leadership or relevant professional experience. Non-business degrees, three-year degrees, professional designations, or extensive leadership experience are considered on an individual basis, and Data Analytics-stream applicants must show quantitative skills (e.g. from engineering, economics, statistics, finance, or mathematics), with pre-qualifying courses sometimes required. As Management (MiM) is not among the programmes UWinnipeg lists as setting its own English-language minimums, international applicants are assessed against the university's general thresholds instead. There is one intake per year, starting each August.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants (Canadian citizens, permanent residents and refugees) apply directly to the University of Winnipeg: for the Faculties of Arts, Business and Economics, Kinesiology and Science the suggested deadline is July 2 for Fall (September) entry, November 1 for Winter (January) entry and March 1 for Spring (May) entry; the Faculty of Education recommends March 1 for high-school and mature applicants, with a final deadline of June 1 subject to space. International applicants are advised to apply by June 15 (Fall, shown on the live page as an 'extended' deadline), October 15 (Winter) or February 15 (Spring). All of these are suggested rather than firm cut-offs: late applications may still be considered, and admission runs on an effectively rolling basis until a term is full.
