Power Engineering Technology Certificate

Admission Requirements: Entry requirements: high school graduation or equivalent, or mature-student status; English 11 at 60% or higher; and Math 11 at 60% or higher. TOOLS AND PPE you must supply: CSA-approved 6-inch boots, clear safety glasses and coveralls. The 4th Class program runs from the first week of September to the second week of May, with classes Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. over 34 weeks at the Kamloops campus, and includes individual operation of TRU's power lab plus tours of several plants in and around Kamloops. On completion you receive a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate issued by Technical Safety BC, having prepared for that authority's two-part 4th Class examination.
