Program details
Overview
This Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Performance: Design and Production develops the creative, technical and leadership skills needed to produce small- to large-scale live productions, including plays, musicals, dance and immersive augmented- or virtual-reality work. Coursework covers costume, scenery, lighting, digital media and sound design for performance, with roughly three-quarters of class time spent in studio work using industry-standard technology. The program is full-time over four years and admits on academic grades alone, without a portfolio or audition requirement. The program suits students seeking a technical and production-management route into live entertainment and events, with graduates typically moving into roles in stage management, technical design, production and event production, rather than students looking for a performance-focused acting or dance degree.
