MA/MS in Nursing is a master's degree in Nursing programme offered by Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada. Tuition for international students is CAD 4,330 per credit (CAD 1,155 per credit for local students).
This program leads to a Master of Nursing, with options to pursue a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner certificate on its own or combined with the MN, offered in full-time and part-time formats on the Toronto campus. It prepares registered nurses for advanced practice and leadership roles across health care sectors through one of three fields of study: Leadership in Health Care Policy and Education; Health and Illness of Individuals and Communities; or Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner, each with its own admission pathway. Faculty research spans the design and evaluation of health interventions, care for diverse and at-risk populations, gender and sexuality in health, health services and policy research, mental health, nursing education, and urban health. Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. The part-time option allows the degree to be completed alongside ongoing professional nursing work. It suits registered nurses seeking advanced clinical, leadership, or nurse practitioner qualifications within their existing careers.

Application Details
Application Deadline:Toronto Metropolitan University sets one guaranteed-consideration date for both domestic and international applicants applying for Fall 2027 entry: complete applications and amendments received by 1 February 2027 receive equal consideration for admission, and TMU says this same date applies to 'all domestic & international applicants.' Non-academic ('Grades-Plus') requirements are generally due around this point too, though the exact date varies by programme. For Winter 2027 (January-start) entry, TMU's program-status page gives domestic applicants a guaranteed-consideration date of 1 December 2026, with most programmes closing applications in mid-December; a limited number of programmes separately accept international applications for winter admission subject to space availability, but TMU publishes no fixed closing date for those international winter applicants. Admission is not rolling: late applications are considered only as space allows after the guaranteed-consideration date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
