The Media Arts – Fine Arts program is a Bachelor of Arts offered as a Major, Honours, or Minor, focused on experimental and documentary filmmaking within a Christian worldview. Coursework covers animation, motion graphics and visual effects storytelling, the history and practice of experimental media, documentary filmmaking, the art of editing, and the intersection of cinema and Christianity. In the third and fourth years, students apply their skills on client projects for charities and non-profit organizations, building a portfolio through real production work. The Major and Honours options require 120 credit hours over four years; the Minor requires 24 credit hours. Instruction is delivered in person, with select Media Arts courses taught through competency-based online formats. The program develops technical filmmaking and storytelling skills alongside critical engagement with experimental media traditions, preparing graduates for production, editing, and creative roles in film and media industries.
