Overview
The Philosophy program is a Bachelor of Arts offered as a Major, Honours, or Minor, examining central philosophical questions through both Christian and non-Christian thought. Coursework covers bioethics, apologetics, and the problem of evil, alongside courses such as Critical Reasoning, Belief, Truth and Knowledge, Philosophy of Science, Introduction to Ethics, and Symbolic Logic. Students engage classroom debates on relevant and controversial topics, developing skills in critical reasoning, argument analysis, and clear written and oral expression. The Major and Honours options require 120 credit hours completed over four years; the Minor requires 24 credit hours. Instruction is delivered in person, with some courses available online. The program equips graduates with analytical and reasoning skills applicable to law, ministry, education, graduate study, and other fields that value rigorous argumentation and ethical reasoning.
