MA/MS in Historical and Theological Studies

The Master of Arts in Historical and Theological Studies is a 12-course, two-year graduate program at Tyndale University that deepens knowledge of Christian history and theology, with attention to both the Canadian context and global perspectives. Faculty research areas include Canadian and global Christianity, evangelicalism, Christian-Muslim relations, theology and science, Reformation theology, and Wesleyan theology, as well as the work of theologians such as Karl Barth and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Students complete the program through either a thesis or a major research paper option. Admission requires a completed baccalaureate degree, a minimum B+ average (GPA of 3.3), and a research paper in the applicant's proposed area of study, alongside two references. The program is delivered with an emphasis on online access to coursework through Tyndale Seminary in Toronto.
