This graduate diploma builds comprehensive knowledge of international relations and global exchanges, developing analytical, critical-evaluation, and communication skills for understanding complex international dynamics. The interdisciplinary 30-credit programme draws on political, cultural, geographic, legal, sociological, and economic perspectives, and offers directed-research or non-thesis pathways. It is delivered full-time or part-time through day courses at the Montreal campus, with a minimum full-time completion of two trimesters and a maximum of twelve trimesters, and intakes in Fall and Winter. Coursework combines core seminars on international relations theory with applied analysis of current global issues, culminating in a directed research paper for students on that pathway. The programme is structured to allow credit transfer into the Master's in International Studies or the Graduate Microprogramme in International Studies. Graduates are prepared for careers in international organizations, government, NGOs, and the private sector, or for further graduate study in international studies and related fields.
