This 30-credit certificate provides theoretical and practical training in chemical analysis, offered at the Montreal campus on a full-time or part-time basis with fall and winter admission. The program introduces students to the analytical techniques and instrumentation used to assess the composition and quality of chemical, pharmaceutical, food, energy, and environmental products, combining laboratory coursework with underlying chemistry theory. Prerequisite knowledge in biology, general chemistry, chemistry of solutions, calculus, and physics is expected, with remedial coursework available for gaps. It suits students seeking a foundation in chemical analysis for laboratory or quality-control roles, or those complementing prior science studies.
