Applicants must meet the university's general admission requirements for first-cycle programs and hold one of: a DEC in Natural Science (200.B1), a DEC in Science, Literature and Arts (700.A1), or an International Baccalaureate diploma; or a DEC plus courses in cell biology, general chemistry, chemistry of solutions, differential calculus, integral calculus, mechanics, electricity and magnetism, and waves and modern physics; or a DEC in biological or physical techniques (or equivalent) plus general chemistry, chemistry of solutions, differential calculus, integral calculus, and two of the physics courses. A lightened program is available under certain conditions for holders of a DEC in Laboratory Techniques. Admission is offered for the fall and winter terms, full-time or part-time.
