This 90-credit undergraduate program leads to a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, offered in French at the Montreal campus on a full-time or part-time basis, with regular and honours profiles. The curriculum provides applied training across four disciplinary areas: instrumental analysis, synthesis and therapeutic chemistry, environmental analysis, and materials and energy. Training emphasizes practical laboratory work, with a minimum of 620 hours in the laboratory, including a workplace or academic research internship, alongside instruction in scientific rigour and the ethical and professional responsibilities of chemists. Admission is offered in the fall and winter terms. The honours profile is available to students who maintain a cumulative average of at least 3.5 on 4.3 after 60 credits and plan to pursue second-cycle studies. Graduates work in analytical, pharmaceutical, environmental, and materials industries, or continue to graduate studies in chemistry.

Admission Requirements: All applicants must demonstrate French proficiency through the Uniform French Test required for the DEC, the Quebec Ministry's written French test, or UQAM's own written French test; exemptions apply for holders of degrees from francophone universities. Admission is possible on several bases: holding a DEC in Natural Sciences (200.B0) or Sciences, Letters and Arts (700.A0), or a technical DEC in laboratory technology, environmental technology, or water treatment technology; holding any other DEC with a minimum cote de rendement (cote R) of 21; being at least 21 years old with appropriate knowledge and one year of chemistry-related work experience; having completed five university-level courses (15 credits) with a minimum average of 2.0 on 4.3; or holding a science diploma from outside Quebec after at least thirteen years of schooling, with a minimum average of 10 on 20. All bases require prior completion of collegial-level coursework in biology, general chemistry, solution chemistry, differential calculus, integral calculus, electricity and magnetism, and waves and modern physics.
